YORÙBÁLAND / RESOURCES & DEVELOPMENT
See the land. Connect the capabilities.
Interactive maps of landscape evidence and productive possibilities across Yorùbá communities in Nigeria, Benin and Togo.
Research review · 20 October 2026 · Each statistic keeps its own reference period.
Two maps. One connected inquiry.
For learners, researchers and community planners: explore where the reviewed evidence is located, then examine what productive capabilities could connect. Markers represent the stated locality or district—not an orebody, property boundary or a forecast of prosperity.

How to read these maps.
Map 01 brings selected landscape and mineral evidence together. Map 02 places documented production, learning and cultural anchors alongside explicitly labelled opportunities. A city used for orientation is not the surveyed location of a mine, institution or industrial plant.
Unverified names without a defensible coordinate remain in the written catalogue rather than acquiring an invented pin. The two maps are curated views; an empty area means no entry in this selection, not no people, resources or potential.
Background geometry: locally served Natural Earth public-domain data. Place anchors retain their sources, including GeoNames under CC BY 4.0 and the Èṣìẹ́ locality from © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Rivers are generalized mapped geometry; no road route, catchment boundary, mine title or travel-time calculation is implied. The display uses a Mercator projection for regional orientation, not an area-comparison calculation.
